Tests   

All tests will be on Friday, April 8th.

If your child has gotten a 0 for not reading, this can be made up.  Your child has to talk to me and let me know they want to make up the grade, however, full credit won't be given for the make up work, 10 points will be taken off of the score because it is late.


HOMEWORK  

No homework Wed. Nov.4th and Thursday Nov.5th.

No homework for Wed. and Thursday Nights.

We are working on speeches for Nov. 4th for 4-H, this is for a Language Arts grade and it is part of the fourth grade curriculum that we teach.

We are working on complex sentences and clauses .

Spelling test will be Monday Nov. 2nd and reading test will be Nov.3rd.


Goals for the week  

We are working on clauses, complex sentences, the main idea and details, long u spelling words and the suffixes -ist, -ive, and -ness

4 Plastic folders with pockets with slits tom easily fit in the Trapper Keeper( 1 each red, blue, green and orange).

1 Plastic folder with prongs ( any color).

1 Pencil pouchj

1 24-pack of No, 2 pencils USA made are best, they don't sharpen away. NO MECHANICAL PENCILS.

1 pack of white, wide ruled notebook paper

3 composition books (no spiral)

1 box of crayons ( o markers ore colored pencils)

2 boxes of Kleenex  tissues

2 bags of individually wrapped candy for AR ( NO GUM, PEANUTS OR PEANUT BUTER)

$20 ROOM DONATION-$2. GOES FOR READING WORKBOOK. The other part will go for special projects and Christmas crafts.

Valentine's Day  

We will be having light refreshments and the students will be able to exchange valentines.   If they want to make a box and bring it that will be fine.  This isn't considered a party, so parents will not be able to come.  Thanks for all that you do and helping your child.


SPELLING WORDS  

I am not giving out spelling lists for the week the  students are responsible for copying them in their planners.  I will have them listed on line.

Tests will be Tuesday 17th.

My homeroom is group 1, Mrs. Sharpe's room is group 2 and Mrs. Montgomery's room is group 3.
